Well, here I am forgetting to Flog...I mean Blog....
The bike and I are becoming good buds. I am up to 45 minutes a day
and usually bike 6 days a week. Why not 7? Well, why not 5?
I'm doing fine with this. Not hating it. I can do 6 miles in 30 minutes.
Not about to take to the open road just yet, but I like pedaling while
I watch Law n Order. Or reading a book or the newspaper.
Let see...other things...hosted a scrapbook retreat down at the
beach this past weekend. Good girlie time. Scrapping, shopping,
drinking, eating, watching girlie movies and walking on the beach
at sunset. Many mojitos consumed. Also LOTS of coffee.
Did some serious scrapping and bonding.
Oh...big news...got the movie SCRAPPED yesterday.
Watched it today. Two words....GIT IT!!!!!

Great job Wes Thomsen!
I'd nominate you for some kinda award.
Maybe the Grammie Pamie Video Award for 2006.
Sounds impressive. No other contenders at the moment.

Happy Labor Day!
Well, it's Labor Day...and as usual, I'm working from 7am to 7pm. Yuck. But...I am working from HOME....so that is GREAT! The youngest is home for a 96 from the Marines. He has to go back tomorrow ...snif snif. I've been cooking all the family faves....got some yummy country ribs in the oven, 2
batches as my 'little guy' likes traditional BBQ sauce and my love bucket likes dry rub. The house smells all yummy good! The new recumbent stationary bike is sooo cool. It has a pulse heart rate monitor thingy that works like a cruise control. Punch in your program, time, age and heart rate you want to maintain, grab onto the pulse monitor handlebars and it keeps you at the same heart rate (pretty much) through out the whole work out. When it gets too high, you sorta coast or go downhill....when it drops low, you pedal harder. Amazing. But I do sweat. Thankfully, with the A/C on and the TV on a fave program. It also has a handy book rack for reading the paper or book. Haven't tried that yet. I'm up to 15 minutes. I hope to be up to 20 minutes a day for the rest of the week. According to their chart, do the 20 minutes for the first 2 weeks. Well, 3 to 5 times a week...for 2 week. I am aiming for the weight loss track, at least 5 times a week. Then I'll move my heart rate up to 70% once I can do that for 2 weeks.
We'll see how this goes.
