Oh! I've been tagged!

I've been tagged by Asta-lishcious in Nu Yawk Sittee (do you hafta SIT all the time in the Sittee?)
Here are the rules of the game:

1) open the folder that has your pet pics in it

2) choose one you haven't posted before

3) tell its story

4) tag 5 friends
I have a little bit of a neglect/revenge thingy....I don't really live in the moment like Mr. Millan says on his Whis-PEE-er show, I actually remember when I've been short changed and GET EVEN!!! See all the BLUE stuff on my mouth and front feets? That's HER blue stuff she rubs on her eyeball skin when she gets dressed up like a tarted up wench. In Tampa, we have a Gasparilla Festival which involves peeps dressing like pirates and holding all kinds of silly events. They even have doggie parades and cocktail parties (not that SHE took me to any of those!!). Anyways...THEY left me n Puffers alone....locked up in our crates without a crust of bread or drink of water. Well. OK. They did have The Marine and his GF stay with us and they did walk us and feed us....but we were in our crates for a while....a longer while that I thought necessary. When they came dragging home late at night, after the appropriate greetings had been exchanged, including cookies for me n Puffers...I decided to get EVEN!!! Someone had actually put down the toilet seat (I know, heck must be freezing over) so I hopped up on the seat and checked out the things on the vanity that belong to HER. I found a cute PINK flowered bag, so it must be meant for me! I carried it off to my corner and opened it ever so gently....teehee...right. I found all kinds of pink, red, gold, silver, blue, shiny things. I opened most of them, some had to be chewed open, but that's not a problem with these toofers. This BLUE stuff was extra tasty as you can see. I would have added some pink stuff, but the Mr. walked in on my primping. He said I was too young to wear mascara and lipstick yet. SHE was not best pleased. Serves her right!
I am going to tag some other doggies if I can figure out how....ya'll scuse me if I do it wrong, this is only the second game I've ever played.

It's a mystery to me....

Does anyone know why Bonnie's eyes are BLUE when I use the flash...

....but Puffers glow red? Normally CUJO red...but he's got a bit of cataracts now.
I thought all dogs had red eye? But I've noticed other photos of terrier type dogs that glow blue too. Anybody know?

I have a little shadow.....

She is moving out...it's been a long time since we've let her out off the property. We are going on our 3 mile round trip walk to the beach. Lots to do and see! After she had a couple of 'end of life' talks with Puffers, it was time to walk off a little frustration.

Reading pee-mail....it's been so long her in-box is very full.

We stopped at several park benches along the way....you can see we are almost to the bay.
It was very hot yesterday in Florida.

She really doesn't like getting on the sea walls....here...at home she will scoot along them chasing crabs like a champ, but we don't have the sound of surf either.

Time to head back to the house. She is much happier....and still full of energy. She pulled the whole way until we turned onto our street and then she finally slowed down. I kept reeling her back to my side. It looks like we are going to have to do some re-training on who's the boss.

Come Scrap with me....

I am going to show you something fun today. This is what the Alpha Female got the other day.
It's a 4 inch die, so the Scotties are probably about 3.5 inches?
It makes Scottie clones....teehee....she said I could make all the male scotties I wanted.

I made Duhgall so I could give him a woofy kiss.
Maybe tomorrow I'll make one of Piper so I can give him a woofy kiss too.
I'm not fickle...just road testing woofy kisses.
She who gets to play with all the scrap goodies says if you want one of these scottie die cuts to let her know and she'll send you either a black, wheaten or grey one.....she doesn't have brindle cardstock, but you can add chalky streaks to match your fave scotty. I added reddish streaks to my blonde locks...I have the cutest ginger streak on my back. Puffers does too. We match!
Let us know if you want a bow or a collar on your scottie.

I am sooooooo flusterated!!!!!

You have nooooo idea! Well, you might if you are female, and you wish it were raining MEN! And I've had to wear those ..those..awful denim pants. So ugly. Even the red ruffle doesn't amuse me anymore. I need a better wardrobe, with something pink and shiny. I need to go SHOPPING! But nooooo...we can't go shopping , because I wish it were raining MEN. Puffer's is too old to do me any good. He just makes me more flustered. I can't go shopping or to the park or to the island. Cuz there might be an undesirable man around. Don't they understand? ALL men are desirable right now! I could care less what kind of man he is....just so he's breathing and can get the job done. Mom won't even walk me on our street anymore. She puts me in the car and takes me down to the grocery store. How embarrassing. She says it causes that cute little King Charles Spaniel up the street to escape and she's afraid he will get hit by a car or something on his quest to come see me. He used to leave me little love notes on the street. But I think his people and my people talk ...so he's not being let out on the street either. Heck, they won't even take me to get my nails and hair done! I'm starting to look scruffy and that's just wrong on so many girlie levels. Ahhwoouut. I wanna go ahhwoout! I feel the urge to tear up something....something of SHE WHO WON'T LET ME DATE...something in the scrap room or the trash can? I wonder if they have an online dating service for dogs?

Did you hear the joke about the 12 foot Scottie?

Bonnie is still rolling around on the floor..laffin!!!!
It's on the Great Scotts MacBlog:
Bonnie thought she'd like to share her smile on the crocodile.
We had a low key 4th of July....friends and family, ribs and brats..and this ICED TEA....
I have to share the recipe.
It was so light and refreshing...I had to make 2 batches!
It's from this months Southern Living with a small substitution:

Ingredients:
3 cups water
2 family-size tea bags
1 (1-oz.) package fresh mint leaves (about 1 cup loosely packed)
1/2 cup sugar
4 cups cold water
1 (6-oz.) can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
Garnish: fresh citrus slices
Preparation
1. Bring 3 cups water to a boil in a 2-qt. saucepan. Remove from heat, add tea bags, and stir in fresh mint. Cover and steep 10 minutes.
2. Remove and discard tea bags and mint. Stir in sugar until dissolved.
3. Pour tea into a 3-qt. container, and stir in 4 cups cold water and lemonade concentrate. Serve over ice. Garnish, if desired.
****I used a cup of Bacardi's Limon rum....since that was all I had handy.
Oh....and it disappeared so fast it never got garnished!
the recipe said use either of these:
Bourbon-Lemonade Iced Tea: Prepare recipe as directed, and stir in 1 cup bourbon. Makes 9 cups.
Spiced Dark Rum-Lemonade Iced Tea: Prepare recipe as directed, and stir in 1 cup spiced dark rum. Makes 9 cups.
When the fireworks started, Bonnie barked for about 10 minutes. We were watching the fireworks outback, and she was inside guarding the front door. I think because the sound carried over the water and it sounded like it was in the front.
The doggies got a tinky bite of ribs....and lots of fresh carrot sticks...and smidgen of banana pudding.
Puffers was up and about socializing so much, that his knee gave out after everyone left. He was really in pain for a while...he wasn't able to put weight on it all evening. We gave him some pain pills and he was all better Sunday....well, as better as a 16 year old dog can be with a bad rear knee. Maybe it was all the sitting up and begging that aggravated it.
Bonnie doesn't beg. She's very polite and curls up under the table or hangs out in the living room. Well, unless I sit on the sofa with a snack, then it's all for one and the one is Bonnie.
Can I have some of that?
What?
That ice cream...the one with my nose in it! Can I have it?
Is your dog a beg-a-matic?

Freedom isn't free....somebody pays.

Today, my heart goes out to the Marine family that lost a son in Afghanistan. Our youngest did 2 tours in Iraq and our oldest, a career Navy officer in EOD is forever going to Iraq and Afghanistan. Our DIL, a Navy Doc, just returned from a year in Afghanistan. The middle son is a cop....we live in constant gut wrenching fear when the phone rings at night or a strange sedan pulls up in the driveway.
As we celebrate the 4th of July and our own Freedom at home, lets not forget the legions of loved ones that purchased our freedoms with their own lives, so that we could live in freedom from fear and tyranny.
I remember....I pray for their safety everyday....God bless the brave men and women of our military and keep them safe till they return.
