Angus....and what I did on my vacation!

Isn't he HANDSOME?!
I FINALLY got to go on a DATE!
This is Angus.
He's red brindle..with lovely Mango-lishious stripes on his
back and sides.
Not that you could get him to look any
other direction than at ME!
As it should be of course.

The only problem with dating, is after 15 minutes of ..FUN?!..I was
over it and done.
Ok, I want to go play with the girlie scotties now.
NO!
Which part of NO don't you understand.
No.No.No.
(When a girl says no....she sits down and stays down!)

He  kept insisting that I sucumb to his manly charms.
He even RIPPED my harness off trying to get
me to stand up and 'dance' with him!!!

After 4 days of playing with my sisters and mother and
basically ignoring Angus,  Miss C called and
told my peeps to come get me.

What can I say...?  I was expecting
ROMANCE!!
Not man-handling!!!

I think I'd rather play than date.
I'll let you know in a month if there is going to
be any 'blessed events'.

What else have I done this summer?

Well, when I came back from my family reunion....
the Mr. hauled me off for a wash
and a trim
AND
the dreaded BOWS again!!!!!

At least this time they are pawple:

They were on briefly.
Like, 10 more steps into the house...
and they were
GONE.

Then I did a LOT of this:

I was sooooo tired when I came home,
I slept for 2 days.

Then we did some of this:

That's my peep bro...the Detective!

And this is his youngest pup:

Even my Mr. got into the puppy tossing:

But he kept it safe on the sofa.

I didn't get to go to the beach.
NO DOGS ALLOWED!
Can you imagine it?

There is just something wrong with ME not getting
to go out on the beach too!

I think we need to unite.
Dogs should get to go on all vacations
with their famililes.

We had heard arrrooos around that you were dating - and taking it seriously!! We're anxious to see the outcome. Piper has been on a long date too - and he hasn't called us in days!! Tomorrow, we have to call and check up on him - he is supposed to return on Saturday.

Happy 4th of July - and we just won't go there with the joke that flew through our heads.

XOXO

Ummm. We DO get to go on all vacations with our people. Or should we more accurately say, the people get to go on all vacations with us. (Gotta keep the hierarchy straight.)

Hope your fourth was great. It sounds like some of your other recent adventures (or lack thereof) may have been a wee bit disappointing.

We're sorry.

I will not tell you the comments that some people in this household made after reading this post. Anyway, I'm sure Angus was a perfect gentleman.

That was some holiday! Angus is lucky you didn't pull a real Swift Warrior Princess routine on him!

What is with those bows! Maybe everything will calm down for awhile.

Angus is pretty good looking and wTG about putting him in his place. He should learn how to woo a pretty girl like yourself instead of just expecting. Girls gotta stand up for ourselves. Glad you had fun with the girls and sure hope that there is some good news soon.

I totally agree about the vacations. We get the raw end of the deal thats for sure.Maybe we should start a revolution???

Wooos Bonnie! I did not know about the boyfriend, but alas they can be so boring after a short time, I do not like to be fussed over either, I too would rather go play with the girls. I do hope that there is some exciting news upcoming though, now go and have a nice long nap!

When we read the title of your blog somehow we pictured you in southwest France...

Then we understood what was going on and --and even though we're guys -- we sympathized with your plight. (Our mom has taught us to be sensitive!)

We hope whatever you hope happens actually does -- that's all we can say!

Except -- a friend sent us a cast metal figurine of a Scottie that we wonder if you'd like. Send mom an e-mail - jdeesez@aol.com -- OK?

We totally agree! That's why we got Big Earl after all. But even now there are lots of places where we have to stay behind when mom & dad go exploring (boo on the National Parks, and "no dogs" rules!).
Sounds like quite the experience on your "date". I myself am a little, er, handicapped in that department thanks to a little procedure. Don't tell Stella, OK?

Oooh, what a feisty date! It looks like you're having a good summer! BTW, purple looks good on you. I know, I know, the dreaded bows are not fun to wear...

My homie and I are gonna catch up on your recent posts soon. The dust has finally settled from our move and various festivities. :)

Oh Bonnie, I'm learning something every day. So there is more to this 'dating' business than just bouncing around your friends and barking at them? I met a girl dog in the park yesterday and her humans told Gail that the was 'in season', and Gail immediately snapped my lead back on. I have no idea why?
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
PS It's SO unfair when they don't allow doggies on the beach!

We can't wait to see if there are puppies in your future! You are right...dogs should ALWAYS be allowed at the beach!

That date doesn't sound too romantic. I never went on a date, but I think I'd be nicer.

OK...first the dating thing. Angus looks like quite the chap for you. I'm afraid, as much as I think you're bee-yoo-ti-ful, I wouldn't have been much of a, well, date. I haven't had thoughts like that since I lost my man-stuff. . Don't get me wrong! I'm all boy! Well...maybe not...now that I think about it. Since I'm missing some important parts...Oh good lord.

Now, on to the beach. You MUST get them to take you to the beach. You can't go EVER???? Not even after Labor Day?

I agree. We must unite.
