Who's a good Scotty?
NOT this chicka obviously! Her evil twin came to visit. I think after being so under the weather the first of the week, combined with RAIN to keep her in the house, has unleashed the very devil in this little missy! She needs to go to the dog park! When we do that, the evil twin stays at the park and the good Scotty comes home with us.
She has emptied the trash can all over the house....this time the one under the desk. Who needs a shredder....we have Miss Bonnie! She pulled scrapbook supplies out and munched her way through several chipboard alphabet sets...and pulled the jeweled handle off a mini purse album. I guess she felt she needed a little bling on her chipboard letters. And she woke up grumpy ole Puffers before the alarm clock today. Lovely! I just love stumbling out of bed to correct doglets and take them out.
Right now, after terrorizing the neighborhood earlier on an OUT RIGHT NOW!, she is curled sweetly by my chair with her chin on my foot. The very picture of innocence.
I think she's irritated with me over the change in her 'toybox'. Her toys have been residing in a lovely low wicker basket, which she chewed up this past weekend. Since she had already chewed up a plastic container, I got a nice deep metal bucket for her balls. She was grumbling at it last night under her breath. Finally she reached out with her front paw and flipped the dang thing over spilling out all the balls, squeaky toys and chew toys. She nosed through them all, as if counting and checking the condition, then picked them up one by one and carried them off to other places in the house. Humph! I'll put my toys where I want them, thank you very much!
And you can take this metal thing and put it where the sun don't shine!!
I suppose that is normal...no one of any import likes having their things messed about with. Moved without being told, etc. She doesn't understand that we prefer not to trip over round toys and how very dangerous they can be for us taller animals. Neither does she understand this is OUR house and she is merely (dare I say it?), the dog. One of 2 dogs actually. The younger intruder even. Nope. This is all hers. Everything in it. We may come in if she pleases. And she is always pleased to see us. But I get the impression it's her home and she is welcoming us to it. By her grace we can be admitted.
What is it Cesar is always saying...Rules, Boundaries and Limitations.
Rule number one. If it's mine don't mess with it.
Boundaries. It's all mine.
Limitations. What? Scotties don't have limitations, fool!

Bonnie Tales
What else can that girl possibly put in her mouth?! So far this week it's been 2 ribbon spools, a mini-scrapbook, all the rick-rack, chewed up a storage basket, chewed up the Mr.s' toothbrush, pulled all the garbage out of the bathroom and strewed it all over the house...but my fave, is one of the Mr.s' blood pressure meds...ALTACE! That one caused an emergency trip to the vet $$$ and lots of worry. Right now she's sleeping peacefully on the back of the arm chair. Looks so innocent and sweet. She's due to wake up in about 30 minutes...and she'll be raring to go...zoom zooming around the house....aroooing her scotty aroooooo! Time for play and belly rubs and toss the ball and tug of war and OUT OUT OUT....I need to GO OUT RIGHT NOW so I can stand in the yard and smell the wind and feel the sun. And go squirrel n lizard n birdie hunting. AROOOO!

Pedaling along...
Well, here I am forgetting to Flog...I mean Blog....
The bike and I are becoming good buds. I am up to 45 minutes a day
and usually bike 6 days a week. Why not 7? Well, why not 5?
I'm doing fine with this. Not hating it. I can do 6 miles in 30 minutes.
Not about to take to the open road just yet, but I like pedaling while
I watch Law n Order. Or reading a book or the newspaper.
Let see...other things...hosted a scrapbook retreat down at the
beach this past weekend. Good girlie time. Scrapping, shopping,
drinking, eating, watching girlie movies and walking on the beach
at sunset. Many mojitos consumed. Also LOTS of coffee.
Did some serious scrapping and bonding.
Oh...big news...got the movie SCRAPPED yesterday.
Watched it today. Two words....GIT IT!!!!!
Here's the link:

Great job Wes Thomsen!
I'd nominate you for some kinda award.
Maybe the Grammie Pamie Video Award for 2006.
Sounds impressive. No other contenders at the moment.

Happy Labor Day!
Well, it's Labor Day...and as usual, I'm working from 7am to 7pm. Yuck. But...I am working from HOME....so that is GREAT! The youngest is home for a 96 from the Marines. He has to go back tomorrow ...snif snif. I've been cooking all the family faves....got some yummy country ribs in the oven, 2
batches as my 'little guy' likes traditional BBQ sauce and my love bucket likes dry rub. The house smells all yummy good! The new recumbent stationary bike is sooo cool. It has a pulse heart rate monitor thingy that works like a cruise control. Punch in your program, time, age and heart rate you want to maintain, grab onto the pulse monitor handlebars and it keeps you at the same heart rate (pretty much) through out the whole work out. When it gets too high, you sorta coast or go downhill....when it drops low, you pedal harder. Amazing. But I do sweat. Thankfully, with the A/C on and the TV on a fave program. It also has a handy book rack for reading the paper or book. Haven't tried that yet. I'm up to 15 minutes. I hope to be up to 20 minutes a day for the rest of the week. According to their chart, do the 20 minutes for the first 2 weeks. Well, 3 to 5 times a week...for 2 week. I am aiming for the weight loss track, at least 5 times a week. Then I'll move my heart rate up to 70% once I can do that for 2 weeks.
We'll see how this goes.

Scraps of Me
OK....I'm NOT good at blogging...feels more like flogging. I've read all these other 'meaningful' blogs and I'm just not sure I'm ready to share so much of me. Maybe in time. Anyways, here is something I can share. I ordered a recumbent bike today! It's been to flippin hot to walk outside and I hate going to the gym at the crack of dark. I'm much happier with an extra hour of sleep than getting up, dressed socially appropriate for a gym and driving down to the gym before my mind is in gear. I have visions of me inside in my jammies barefoot (got the upgraded one with barefoot pedals!) under the a/c vent watching the boob tube at 6am. I can see that happening more than me at the gym at 6am. Plus the extra 30 minutes of zzzz time makes a happier me. Stay tuned for more blog flogging updates.

Forgetfulness...
Well, I started a blog and got busy and forgot to update it!
I'd think of it from time to time, but with the migraitions going on at work and everything else, I just forgot to update or add to it. It's not a work of art or a work of heart either...yet.
It might be someday worth reading. For now, it just exists out here in cyber-space taking up bits on someone's server.
OK, then, I suppose I should make an effort to keep updating it. I'm just not crazy about putting a lot of personal info on the web. You know...the 'public names and public faces are often seen in public places' idea.
My mom used to tell me that about people writing on bathroom walls. I think she meant it in as a negative warning.
I never developed a penchant for writing on bathroom walls, signs, graffiti or any kind of public statement.
I'm working on making the change.

Beginnings....
Where to start...or rather why? I thought I would start this so the offspring could catch up with news of the day since catching up with them during the week is so sporadic. Not that there is much to report around here. I am having to drive in to work, which is a royal pain in the tush.
I leave right before 6am to make it to work in time to log on and be in live before 7am. I don't have my own desk, so I have to carry in my manuals and laptop, etc every day. Thank goodness I have a rolling tote for my stuff. And I have to park in a very low parking garage. It gives me the heebie jeebies. I feel myself scrunching my head way down low every time I enter the garage. And it flexes when another car comes in. Feels like a minor earthquake or tremor.
I reallllly don't like that feeling. There is a ton of traffic on the road first thing in the morning...
driving like madmen all over the place. I am wound up like a top by the time I get here every
day. And exhausted by the time I manage to get home around 8:15 pm. However, the view from this cubicle is breathtaking, looking out over a small nature perserve (I think it's a nature perserve) out to the bay. Lots of sea birds and an osprey and dolphins.
